Google +, the 3rd most popular social network, is alive and well!

This is a response to all the irresponsible  journalism  out there that is quick to proclaim that Google + is dead, now that  the creator Vic Gundotra has decided on a new career direction. Neither the Techcrunch or Forbes article have any facts to back up their opinions  and the TechCrunch  writer hasn't used G+ in  2 years!  I have a feeling that Facebook  pays them to bash the competition.

Do you really think that Google, who has spent years  on this platform, integrating it with Gmail and Youtube is just going to leave this for dead?  What  makes this social network so much  cooler than Facebook or Twitter is their exclusive  video chat which is like Skype, but even better because you can do video and audio with up to 10 people for FREE , with Skype  you only get one on one video chat free . For multiple people you only get audio or have to pay for  video conference calls for more than one. Thanks Microsoft!

No one can argue that Android phones and tablets are a runaway success and  everyone who buys one logs in with Google + and Gmail.  That is how I know this is not going to fade away

I noticed one fact missing in every article I read  that Google + had immediately appointed a new leader for G+  who has been with the project since the beginning  you can circle him  at   https://plus.google.com/u/0/+DaveBesbris/posts

There were lots of articles in the past saying how G + was a ghost town! Well , I have a very hard time keeping up with my notifications during the weekdays. Its a full time job and I had to ask people to tag me in important posts or I would miss them in my busy stream

This is a great article  by Memeburn  that has actually done real research and testing of the product.

I am so confident that Google + will  grow and flourish substantially in the next year that I have set  up a online consulting business  based on my G + connections

If Google + is a ghost town,  then I say  Boo! I am very happy to be a ghost! See you there!
